I've started a Company, do I need anything else?

You've started a company and opened a bank account. You're setting up an office and have actively started recruiting. But, Registrations such as GST, MSME, ESI, PF, etc are crucial to running a business in India. Some registrations are mandatory while others bring immense tax and financial benefits.

GST Registration

GST Number is a unique 15-digit number that is given for GST taxation and filing. When the annual revenue for manufacturing exceeds Rs. 40 lakhs and for service providers exceeds Rs. 20 lakhs, a GST number is required for all firms.

EPF Registration

All establishments that have employed 20 or more than 20 employees can apply for PF registration in India.

IE Code Registration

An import export code is a unique 10-digit code for companies and businesses that deals with import-export. It is a one-time registration process.

ISO Registration

ISO Stands for International Standards of Organization. ISO is an independent, non-governmental international organization with a membership of 162 national standard bodies. Certification can be a useful tool to add credibility.

RERA Registration

It is now obligatory and compulsory not only for all the Real Estate Projects but also for the Real Estate Intermediaries and Agent to get themselves registered under this act, i.e., obtain RERA Registration.

LUT Registration

Letter of Undertaking is abbreviated as LUT. The Letter of Undertaking is a document submitted by the exporter in order to export goods or services without the payment of taxes.

Legal Entity Identifier

The Legal Entity Identifier (LEI) is a global reference number that uniquely identifies every legal entity or structure that is party to a financial transaction, in any jurisdiction.

MSME UDYAM Registration

Udyam Registration is the new process of MSME Registration launched by the the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises on July 1, 2020.

APEDA Registration

Agricultural & Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) is a Government association founded in 1985 through an act for the Development and Growth of export of scheduled commodities.

FSSAI Registration

As per The Food Safety & Standards Act, 2006, no person shall commence or carry on any food business except under a FSSAI license or FSSAI registration. Applicability for License/Registration depends on the Product output or Annual turnover as may be specified.

GEM Registration

Government E-Marketplace or GeM is a portal to facilitate online procurement of goods and services required by various government departments, organizations and public sector undertakings in India.

Pollution Control Registration

A manufacturer would require getting the Consent to Operate (CTO) and Consent to Establish (CTE) from the Pollution Control Board.

Drug License Registration

Drug license is an authorization granted by the authority under the Drugs and Cosmetic Act 1940 so as to perform the business of drugs/ medicines or cosmetics.

ESI Registration

The registration of your company with the Employee State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) is mandatory for every employer where the number of employees is more than 10. The application must be moved within 30 days of being applicable.

START UP Registration

Startup means an entity, which is registered in India not over five years and the annual turnover not exceeding Rs. 25 crore in any financial year. It is an entity which works towards innovation, development, deployment or commercialization of new products and services driven by technology or intellectual property.

Shop & Establishment Registration

Shop & Establishment Registration is mandatory for every person who is starting any business or shop under the respective State Act. For any new business or shop, we need to obtain Shop & Establishment registration within 30 days of commencing operations under the respective State Act.

AGMARK Registration

Agmark Registration (Agricultural Marketing and Grading) is a mark that is certified by the government. Governed under the Agricultural Produce (Grading & Marking) Act, 1937 and a 1986 Amendment, this certification demonstrates that the agricultural items are of a good standard as well as good quality.

RNI Registration

To establish a newspaper, periodical, or printed publications in India, the owners has to obtain an RNI registration from the Registrar of the Newspapers. RNI registration is essential for every newspaper, circular, magazine, or foreign publications.

12A & 80G Registration

NGOs primarily rely on donations to support their functioning. To claim those tax exemptions (available to both donors and recipients), NGOs are to register under Section 80G and Section 12A of the Income Tax Act.
